For Referrers

Supporting recovery in complex workplace cases

I work with injured workers where recovery is influenced not only by symptoms, but by the systems around them — family, leadership, and workplace context.

My approach is grounded in evidence-based psychology, nervous system regulation, and real-world experience within workers compensation and organisational environments. I work collaboratively with insurers, rehabilitation providers, and employers to support recovery that is both clinically appropriate and sustainable.

How I work

Referrers often engage me when:

  • Recovery feels fragile or stalled

  • Psychosocial risks are emerging

  • Return-to-work efforts need additional support

  • The emotional load around the worker is increasing.

My work is recovery-focused, ethically grounded, and aligned with insurer and rehabilitation frameworks. I aim to reduce complexity rather than add to it.

Recovery Circle™ – Supporting recovery beyond the therapy room

Recovery Circle™ is a brief, structured recovery support that complements psychological treatment by helping the people around an injured worker understand how to support recovery without adding pressure.

This service was developed in response to common challenges seen in workplace recovery — where family members and leaders want to help, but uncertainty, anxiety, or mixed messages can unintentionally slow progress.

Recovery Circle™ is:

  • Non-clinical

  • Psychoeducational

  • Time-limited

  • Delivered separately to a nominated family member and the worker’s supervisor.

It does not replace therapy or case management and is delivered with the worker’s informed consent.

When Recovery Circle™ may be recommended

  • Recovery is progressing inconsistently

  • Family stress is increasing

  • Leaders feel unsure how to support safely

  • There is risk of secondary psychological injury

  • Recovery-at-work attempts have stalled or broken down.

Early, targeted support can often prevent escalation and reduce the need for additional services later.

Referrals & collaboration

I welcome referrals from insurers, rehabilitation providers, GPs, and organisations.
I work collaboratively and communicate in a way that supports recovery, clarity, and confidence for all parties.
