MIND LOGISTICS · EMDR THERAPY
You don't have to have it figured out.
You just have to notice something's not right.
That's enough to start.

Trauma and distressing experiences
-
Work stress, burnout, and nervous system exhaustion

YOU MIGHT RECOGNISE THIS
Most people who reach this page aren't sure what to call it.
They just know something's not right. And they've been carrying it for longer than they'd like to admit.
"I'm functioning. But only just."
"I'm running on empty and I can't work out why."
"I can't stop replaying it, even when I'm trying to sleep."
"I know I'm not right. I just don't know where to start."
It doesn't have to be a single dramatic event. It can be the accumulation. The slow erosion. The thing that happened — at work, in a relationship, or somewhere along the way — that your nervous system never quite processed.
EMDR works with all of it.
WHAT IS EMDR?
You don't have to relive it to process it.
Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based psychological therapy recognised by the World Health Organisation for the treatment of trauma and PTSD. But it does a lot more than that.

When something distressing happens, the memory can get 'stuck' — stored in a way that keeps the nervous system on alert, as if the event is still happening. Avoidance, replaying, emotional reactivity, physical tension, performance blocks — these are often the nervous system's response to an unprocessed memory, not a character flaw.

EMDR supports the brain's natural processing system to integrate the memory properly. The event doesn't disappear. But it stops running the room.
"You don't have to talk through every detail. You don't have to relive it. That protects you — and if I'm honest, it protects me too."
That's one of the things I genuinely love about this therapy. The insight comes from what your nervous system and memory reveal — not from reconstructing a narrative from scratch.
WHAT EMDR HELPS WITH
From trauma to performance — and everything in between.
EMDR is often associated with trauma and PTSD — and it's extraordinarily effective there. But the range surprises people.

-
Traumatic incidents — workplace, accident, assault, medical, or otherwise
-
Critical incident exposure and cumulative stress — first responders, health workers, high-exposure roles
-
Work stress, burnout, and the physical toll of sustained pressure
-
Anxiety and fear responses — including public speaking and high-stakes situations
-
Confidence and self-worth that took a hit somewhere along the way
-
Relationship patterns that keep showing up even when you've tried to change them
-
Grief and loss — including identity loss, career loss, and the quieter kinds
-
Specific fears and phobias — yes, including your mother-in-law
If something is living in your nervous system and running your behaviour — EMDR can get to it.
WHAT THE PROCESS LOOKS LIKE
What we find before we even start reprocessing is eye-opening.
EMDR isn't something switched on in session one. It's a structured process — and the preparation phase alone tends to shift things.
PHASE 01
Assessment & history
We map what's happening, what's connected to it, and what your nervous system has been carrying. The patterns and connections that emerge — before processing a single memory — are genuinely eye-opening.
PHASE 02
Preparation & stabilisation
You'll learn tools to regulate your nervous system between sessions. We don't move into reprocessing until you feel ready and resourced. That's not a formality — it matters for how safe and effective the work is.
PHASE 03
Reprocessing
The memory is targeted and processed using bilateral stimulation. The emotional intensity reduces. The memory stops intruding. Things shift — sometimes subtly, sometimes significantly, often faster than people expect.
PHASE 04
Integration
We consolidate what's changed and look at how your life looks without the weight of what was driving things. Most people describe this phase as clarifying.
The research base for EMDR is robust — and two decades of sitting in the room with people carrying things they couldn't name confirms it. I wouldn't have built my practice around it if I didn't trust it completely.

TELEHEALTH
EMDR via Telehealth — effective, private, and more accessible than most people expect.
EMDR can be delivered safely and effectively online when it's structured correctly. I've adapted my protocols for remote delivery — including bilateral stimulation techniques designed specifically for video sessions.
For many people, Telehealth is actually the better option:

-
Sessions fit around work, shift work, and caring responsibilities
-
No travel time, no waiting rooms, no running into someone you know
-
Processing in your own space can feel safer and more grounded
-
Available anywhere in Australia
Prefer in-person?
In-person sessions are available at the Gold Coast office in Southport — for those who prefer face-to-face or live locally.

WHY THIS MATTERS TO ME
I use EMDR with almost every client I work with.
That's not nothing.
I'm Tenneile Manenti — a Registered Psychologist with experience across clinical, forensic, and organisational psychology. I trained in EMDR because I kept watching what happened when people finally had a way to process what they'd been carrying.

I've worked with first responders, executives, founders, and people who sat down in front of me and said: "I don't even know how to explain what's wrong." That's actually one of my favourite starting points. Because EMDR doesn't need a perfect narrative. It needs honesty, and a nervous system — and most people have both.

I know this because I've had to learn some of it myself. Slowly. More than once. Which is probably why I find it genuinely interesting, rather than just technically useful.

I bring three perspectives to this work that most practitioners don't hold simultaneously:
AS A CLINICIAN
I treat it
I work with trauma, stress, and performance psychology in practice every week. I understand the clinical presentation, the recovery arc, and what actually shifts things.
AS A FORMER ADMINISTRATOR
I managed it
I managed workers' compensation at an organisational level. I understand the system, the pressures, and what people navigating workplace injury are up against from the other side of the desk.
AS A FAMILY MEMBER
I've lived it
I've personally navigated a serious workplace injury claim. I know what it feels like on the other side. I won't minimise what you're carrying — and I won't pretend I don't understand it.

READY TO START?
You don't have to wait until it gets worse.
Most people come to EMDR later than they needed to. Not because they didn't want help — but because they weren't sure they'd be able to explain it clearly enough.

You don't have to explain it perfectly. You just have to show up.
Curious is enough to start.
